Happy New Year to everyone.

Its a brand new year, a new beginning. I have a few resolutions that will change my life dramatically:

1. Reduce the amount of soft drinks, specifically Coke.

2. Play less Heroes of Newerth. I have been addicted to this game since Nov 2009.

3. Wake up earlier and sleep earlier.

4. Learn and master the songs Moon Represents My Heart and Butterfly Lovers in time for the wedding.

thirty

Today is my 30th birthday, this is  a milestone for me. I feel as if I have achieved most of what I set out to accomplish. From my humble beginnings with just a suitcase in Waterloo has transformed into the American dream.  I have found the love of my life, my family is doing well and I enjoy my career. There are many other things that I am very thankful for, the support of my friends, being a proud home owner and good health to name a few.

Where do I go from here?

This is hard to predict,  I believe the next chapter of my life involves lots of family life, sacrifices and strength.  Cheers.

Back Where It All Started

Its amazing how much things change but eventually history repeats itself and we end up where we started. I am very excited and looking forward to my road trip next week. We will be heading out East, first visiting Boston then to Halifax. 4 years ago I lived in Halifax for a brief 3 months on a special assignment while working for RIM.

Have a great Canada’s Day everyone.

Sail around the world

This is my first post since upgrading to WordPress 2.9, this upgrade deleted all my previous posts.

I watched an episode of the Australian version of 60 Minutes and they covered the story of a young 16 year old teen Jessica Watson who sailed the world by herself in 210 days (23,000 nautical miles). This made her the youngest person to sail the world alone, this is amazing and goes to show that you can achieve anything you put your mind to.

More info can be found in this new article: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/05/15/world/main6486348.shtml

What Jessica Watson was able to achieve has inspired to push myself to the limits each day. Recently I have been wasting too much time playing HoN (Heroes of Newerth) and Facebook games.  Currently I am devoted to my new project which I will unveil shortly.  I would like to extend my gratitude to Peter C. and of course my girlfriend Susan for all their help and support.
